June 6 Tokyo - Imperial Palace, War Museum, Ise Sueyoshi

Breakfast at a venerable cafe...

Then subway to central Tokyo, emerged from old brick victorian-looking train station.

unfortunately required reservations, which we didn't make in time. But the grounds and gardens were very interesting.

This next picture is of a metal wall protecting some construction or something...note its resemblance to the outfield at Wrigley.

Then we split up - Brandon and I went to the war museum...called (I think) National Showa Memorial Museum. Some cool stuff, but they don't really accept responsiblity for WW2, saying "well, we had to because the US was cutting off our oil and iron imports"...

Finally, an awesome meal at a tiny, third-floor hold-in-the-wall restaurant with awesome food served by the chef in many small courses.
